Dear Jane Update

I'm slowly making progress on my dj quilt. I did join a new group starting at my local quilt shop. It was just for DearJaner's and I was really looking forward to it. I even wore my denim shirts with the blocks that didn't make it into the quilt sewn on. Well, it didn't work out very well. I won't go into it, but at my age I don't have to be with people I don't want to be with. So I'm back to working on my own.
Well, not quite alone. I belong to another group that does handwork and one of the ladies from that group was at the DJ group and fell in love with the quilt and the process of hand making the tiny blocks so now we do that at our handworkers group. Hopefully I can get some new pictures uploaded to webshots soon.

She's here and she's beautiful!!!!!!!

Brianna Elizabeth arrived Jan 22nd and she's just beautiful. She was welcomed into the world by many beautiful handmade blankets, booties, caps, toys, burp cloths, etc, etc. We had a surprise shower for my grand-daughter just after Christmas. Family and friends came from all over and we all had a wonderful time. She received many beautiful things. Her Grandfather on her mothers side handmade a bassinette and his wife made a beautiful sheet and cover set.
I'm posting pictures on webshots of the party and her first picture in the hospital.
I've spent a lot of time making fun stuff for the new baby now I guess I have to go back to work.

I've started a small e-shop on ETSY.

I'm having to sell off some of my quilts and handmade things and ETSY looks like the right place. I'm also selling off my collection of Blue Ridge dinnerware that's taken me years to gather together. By the looks of auction sites on the internet, now is not the time to sell Blue Ridge. But we do what we have to, when we have to.

I spent all afternoon and evening quilting in front of my tv yesterday and plan on being there most of today.
I have hockey back, quilting and racing.
Life is truly good.
